  What's a good distance to first zero your scope?

Like I said what distance to start? 10 yards to start? then farther? or start farther 100 yds.and farther 200? :)

it's my sks 7.62x39 I have'nt zeroed it in 100% I think the scope is a barska? gotta check the magnification tom. but I ran low on ammo that's why I was'nt able to do it properly. This is what I had but am not happy with it.

Those photos show a group. You are on the paper, but the size of the group is huge.
If your groups are 6" in size, you can't fix that by adjusting the scope. That is not a "zero the scope" issue. Either the gun is not accurate, the scope is not repeatable, the scope or mounts are loose, or the ammo/ load is wrong for the gun.

To zero a scope, start at 25 yards and adjust the POI so it is 1.25" high.
Then go to 50 yards, shoot a couple rounds and adjust the POI to 1" high.
Now shoot 100 yards and repeat.
Continue until you are zero'ed at your Max Point Blank Range

You should use a new target at each distance.

If your groups are 6" in size, you can't fix that by adjusting the scope.

I dial or zero mine in at 100 yards but start at 50 yards.
